Privacy

The short version: we collect what we need to run the Challenge, we only share what you say yes to, and we delete your ride data after the season.

What we collect

From you: first name, display name, email, and your answers on the sign-up form.
If you connect Strava: your Strava athlete ID. For each ride you upload to Strava during the season, we note which Challenge climbs it included and the date.
If you upload ride files: we read each file once and note which Challenge climbs it included and the date. Then we delete the file.

What we don't collect

We don't keep your rides, routes, times, speed, heart rate, power, photos, or anything else from Strava or your ride files. We look at each ride once, note the climb and the date, and that's it. We never see Strava rides set to Only you.

Who sees it

You see your own progress on your Challenge page.
The public sees your display name, finisher number and year on the Finishers wall, but only if you finish and say yes to that.
We never sell your information. We only share what you've said yes to, and we use a small number of services to run the Challenge and send email.

How long we keep it

Your progress and any Strava connection are deleted after the season ends, by January 15, 2027.
If you disconnect Strava or leave the Challenge earlier, we delete your Strava data then.
If you finish, your finisher number, display name and year stay in the club's finisher record for good. If you're on the Finishers wall, your entry stays until you ask us to take it down.
Your email stays on our list until you unsubscribe. That covers Challenge emails, plus the newsletter if you chose it.

Your choices

Disconnect Strava any time, from your Challenge page or in your Strava settings.
Leave the Challenge from your Challenge page, or email us. We'll delete your Challenge progress and Strava connection. To come off our email list too, use the unsubscribe link in any email.
Unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of any email.
